Composition- Rule of Thirds

I actually like both pictures, although each in their own way. I like how the way the grass has been mowed adds some shape. This place is called "The Chapel" it is privately owned on Darling Hill in Lyndonville.

  1. I like both of these pictures a lot. What a great place to photograph! I have to say though that I find the second picture more interesting because the eye is still drawn to the church, but the lawn and the bit of pond on the left add more to look at in the picture. It also adds shape.

  2. Both are beautiful shots, but I like the second one the best because the pond and the trees in the distance add to the photo, gives it a little more detail, without being too much.

  3. Two great pictures. The second one shows more of the landscape.

  4. I like them both as well. i had a hard time choosing which one I liked the best. I think I like the second one with the added snippets of detail, the pond and the row of trees add something to it without taking away from the beauty of the chapel.

  5. These are both very good photos. The reason being is that they both have really good shapes, a sense of depth and a story to tell. It just that the emphasis has changed from the Chapel in the first one to the Chapel in it's surroundings.

Really good capture of the afternoon sun as well.

    Great work!
