Week 4 Colors and Light

An example of analogous colors. Yellow, yellow-green and green.

This picture is an example of complimentary colors. It is a green plant next to my old red barn. The red boards seem to make the green plant even more green than you would think.

  1. Old red barns make great backgrounds don't they? I used one for my color shots as well!

  2. I like the second picture. It looks like it could be used as stationary or a template of some sort. The colors look great together, too.

  3. I love the red barn photo. It always reminds me of home. I like how some of the paint is chipped on the barn giving it the rustic feel.

  5. The red barn definitely makes the green in the plant stand out so much more. It is amazing how colors compliment each other. Nice photo. I love the buttercup photo too. Buttercups are simple and pretty flowers.

  6. The second shot is such a simple composition but it really has an effect on me. Something about the chipped paint and the weedy looking plant growing next to it.
